I stood here once, and so did he. I laid here once, and he laid next to me. So many memories we made here, it feels like I'm looking into the past, wishing I could go back and tell myself it wouldn't last. I ask myself, just how perfect was he? We walked down the trails, hand in hand, side by side, his steps matching mine with every stride. Each time he looked at me, his eyes pierced my soul, it made me feel like his love was filling an empty hole.
